Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Barnsley, seeking a Management Accountant for a 3-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a manufacturing background, looking to support the Finance Director in a key role.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Finance Director with the preparation of management accounts, including monthly reporting, variance analysis, and financial commentary.

Support the FD with detailed analysis of factory costs and costings, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

Provide insights into financial performance, highlighting areas of concern or opportunity.

Work closely with operations to monitor costs and performance, identifying areas for cost control and efficiency improvements.

Produce financial reports and presentations, using Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for clear, concise reporting to senior management.

Help streamline processes and improve reporting methods where possible.

Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:

Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent by experience.

Previous experience in a management accounting role within a manufacturing environment is essential.

Strong Excel skills are a must, including the ability to create complex reports and analysis.

Experience using PowerPoint to create presentations for senior stakeholders.

Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data and present it in an accessible way.

Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, comfortable working closely with senior leadership.
