Job description:
Management Accountant
Based – Carlton, Barnsley, S71 3HF
Salary circa £50,000 + bonus + private medical insurance
12 month fixed term contract
As our next Management Accountant, you'll provide a dedicated financial resource to support and challenge the manufacturing operation at a site level, whilst also supporting the Site Finance Manager in the delivery of their objectives. Key responsibilities lie within the completion of weekly/monthly reporting cycles and supporting with internal and external audits, using your full or part finance qualification and excellent analytical skills.
What you will be doing includes:
Finance Control & Operations
- Ensure system integrity working closely with SAP admin
- Monitor production side stock levels and flag aged stock,Â
- Check and approve product costings
Performance Reporting
- Reporting timely information to site teams both financial and non-financial
- Report and track key projects highlighting any risk to deliverables
Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Work with Finance Controller on the site operations budget and ensure the forecast process is accurate, robust and timely
- Complete forecasts and budgets in conjunction with site management teams and budget holders to company standard
- Labour forecasting (recovery simulation vs. actual), and yield analysis
Decision Support
- Drive cost reduction via proactive challenge and seek to identify cost cutting initiatives with site teams
- Provision of ad-hoc analysis, modelling and project support as required
What we need from you:
- Part or full finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- Previous management accounting experience, ideally from a manufacturing or logistics background
- Advanced Excel with exceptional analytical skills
