We are seeking a Business Support Officer to provide essential support to the LADO and IRO service. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a business support environment, particularly within statutory services, who is adept at handling confidential information and has a talent for minute-taking and managing data.

Day to day of the role:
  • Take minutes for LADO meetings, manage emails, and update spreadsheet trackers for both services.
  • Enhance tracker systems to improve service efficiency.
  • Set up meetings, send out invites, and request reports as needed.
  • Provide a confidential business support service to front-line and statutory services.
  • Handle telephone and face-to-face enquiries, offering advice, guidance, and support.
  • Respond to various correspondence and manage incoming and outgoing information.
  • Maintain communication links with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support statutory meetings, recording decisions accurately and directly onto electronic forms.
  • Organise and coordinate meetings, diaries, and appointments.
  • Undertake project work and research, ensuring high-quality information is delivered on time.
  • Analyse data and produce reports suitable for a range of audiences.
  • Perform administrative duties while managing interruptions and conflicting demands.
  • Assist in the design and development of internal business support systems.
  • Maintain electronic and paper-based systems, ensuring accuracy and appropriate storage of information.
  • Handle financial administration tasks, including placing orders and processing payments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience within a business support environment.
  • Proven experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Skilled in research and reporting findings both written and verbally.
  • Familiarity with financial information, problem-solving related to payments and billing.
  • Proficient in servicing meetings and minute-taking directly onto mobile devices with speed and accuracy.
