We are seeking a Business Support Officer to provide clerical support and minute-taking services for Children’s Social Care in the Barnsley area. This role requires handling highly confidential and sensitive information, working with financial data, and servicing meetings with precision and speed.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Handle telephone and face-to-face enquiries, offering advice, guidance, signposting, and support to both internal and external customers across various service functions.
  • Triage and direct referrals and requests for service to the appropriate teams, ensuring a timely response and excellent customer service.
  • Organise and provide support at a range of statutory meetings, often involving emotive content, producing accurate minutes and action schedules.
  • Liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience within a business support environment.
  • Proven experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Experience working with financial information.
  • Skilled in servicing meetings and minute-taking directly onto mobile devices with speed and accuracy.
