We are seeking a dedicated Business Support Officer to join our Adoption & Fostering Team. This role requires managing various administrative duties, including handling sensitive information and providing professional support during statutory meetings. The ideal candidate will have experience in a business support environment, particularly within sensitive settings.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage mailboxes and handle medical/statutory checks along with other administrative duties.
  • Take minutes at meetings involving foster carers, adoptive parents, and professional parties, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
  • Address telephone and face-to-face enquiries, offering advice, guidance, and support to both internal and external customers in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and policies.
  • Triage and direct referrals and requests for service to appropriate teams, ensuring timely responses and excellent customer service.
  • Process various referrals/requests for service/applications, adhering to specific rules and guidelines, and manage all associated incoming and outgoing information.
  • Maintain accurate records on both computer and paper-based systems, ensuring data security and confidentiality in line with governance protocols.
  • Organise and support a range of statutory meetings, dealing with emotive content, and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience within a business support environment.
  • Experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Familiarity with financial information management.
  • Skilled in minute taking directly onto mobile devices with speed and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective verbal and written communication with various stakeholders.
