Salary: 50,000 - 60,000 p.a + 26 days holiday (+ Bank Holidays)
This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing engineering design consultancy.
The Design Engineer will design and develop water and wastewater treatment systems, including the selection and sizing of equipment, calculations, and hydraulic modelling.
Example of Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering evaluations and feasibility studies for water and wastewater projects, analysing data to identify potential challenges and areas for improvement.
- Develop comprehensive engineering designs, detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Work closely with clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and compliance with permitting requirements.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in water and wastewater engineering through ongoing research and engagement.
- Offer technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, promoting a collaborative and growth-focused environment.
Essential Skills/Background:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent
- Extensive experience in water and wastewater engineering, with a focus on the design and construction of treatment systems, pipelines, and related infrastructure.
- Advanced proficiency in engineering software, including AutoCAD, hydraulic modelling programs, and data analysis tools.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes applicable to water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work to timescales.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
