Product Manager / Marketing

Established over 35 years with a reputation for excellent customer service and support this is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading manufacturer of capital equipment used to ensure medical / surgical products are effectively decontaminated / sterilised ensuring patient safety.

  • Access to Yorkshire offices 2-3 times each week
  • Basic Salary IRO 60-65k, with bonus and excellent package including car corporate benefits.

Role -

They will own the complete marketing mix for the portfolio - promotion, price, product, place, people, process and physical evidence. The role demands an candidate who can work well with internal stakeholders and is also able to forge long term strategic relationships with external stakeholders (Key opinion leaders within the medical device market, health space, external agencies and suppliers). The role will demand a broad variety of marketing / product management skills encompassing competitor analysis, product placement, customer engagement - working in surgical theatres, face to face visits and trade fairs, developing focus groups, development of sales tools and overall ownerships of the portfolio, The role demands a candidate with strong attention to product financials (pricing, growth percentages, market share etc) who can work well in strategic cross functional teams. This is a very commercially focused role - the appointed person will be challenged to deliver additional revenue from the established product portfolio they manage.

  • Serve as the product expert and provide in-depth knowledge of product features, use cases, and benefits ensuring the sales team understands the technical aspects of features and scalability. Explain how technical specifications address complex customer needs.
  • Conduct product training sessions for sales teams, equipping them with the information they need to position the product effectively.
  • Collaborate with product development team to stay up to date on product updates, improvements, and roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing to develop go-to-market (GTM) strategies, including positioning, pricing, and packaging of the product.
  • Lead product launches and coordinate with various departments (Engineering & Sales) to ensure successful rollouts.
  • Develop product messaging and sales enablement materials (sales decks, case studies, product demos, etc).
  • Track and report on key performance metrics related to product sales and market penetration.
  • Analyse product performance data to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.

Applicant -

  • Experience in product management for medical devices, sales, or a related role. Experience in B2B sales or technology products is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of product development cycles, sales processes, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer feedback.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong IT Skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
