V-Recruit are currently working on behalf of a key client, who are drylining and drywall specialists, based in the South Yorkshire area.
Our client is a CHAS Accredited contractor, who can offer their services all over the UK, across all sectors of the construction industry. They specialise in the following disciplines: Drylining, Plastering & Rendering, Suspended Ceilings, Steel Framing System (SFS) Installation, Fire Stopping, Wall Cladding, Acoustic Panels, Modular Build and De-mountable Partitions.
As part of their growth plan, our client is looking for a Business Developer, to contact construction contractors and request the opportunity to tender/price for upcoming projects. Although all pricing is covered by the Business Partners, you will be generating new interest, establishing and growing new relationships, networking, and generating/chasing up new and existing leads before passing on genuine interest to the Management & Pricing Team.
The ideal candidate will;
- Have existing strong industry knowledge, and understand the contract process of securing contracts with main and principal contractors
- Have excellent time management skills and being extremely self-motivated to both understand the complexities of the industry in general, the services that our client offer to use initiative to develop and chase leads, and to find new ways of generating business.
- Be able to source and identify prospects by researching online, using specialist tools, platforms and systems, and through other means, whilst registering and logging onto the CRM
- Be experienced and comfortable making outbound sales calls to new and existing companies, asking relevant questions, objection handling and following up as appropriate.
- Have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate with various internal and external stakeholders
- Have good IT skills, and be able to adapt to various channels of communication
Job Specifics
- This is a temp to perm position, depending on the success of the role.
- Negotiable Salary, depending on experience.
- Bonus structure to be discussed but promises to be generous and payable when a contract is signed.
- Working hours are office hours, Monday-Friday
- Some potential to be Hybrid, to be discussed in interview
