An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council. This is a temporary Team Manager role for the Short Breaks Team within the Children with Disabilities Service. In this role you will benefit from an hourly rate of £35 per hour umbrella, whilst having the opportunity to work in a professional and vibrant environment. Managing the Shore Breaks Team includes but is not limited to: * Lead the short break team and advise on the development, coordination, implementation, evaluation and quality assurance of related projects, training, programs and systems. * To provide professional supervision, coaching and mentoring to internal practitioners through a variety of mechanisms to effectively address any quality or safeguarding concerns. * To report any safeguarding incident or concerns immediately in line with Barnsley Safeguarding Children Board and Council policies and procedures. * To develop and implement whole system change in partnership through agreed programs in order to support service design. For this position you will need hold a recognised social work qualification and be SWE registered, as well as experience of managing and directing staff and financial resources to meet targets and outcomes in a high pressured environment.
