PVC Tool Setter

Elevation Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Plastics company in Barnsley to hire a skilled PVC Tool Setter. 

Location: BarnsleySalary: Up to £33kShift Pattern: 3 Shift Rotation (Mornings, Afternoons, Nights)

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust, and maintain extrusion machines to meet production standards
• Perform tool changes efficiently to minimize downtime
• Monitor machinery to ensure consistent product quality
• Keep the work area clean and organised
• Work closely with the quality team to ensure finished products meet quality standards
• Adjust machine parameters to sustain production levels
• Troubleshoot moulding issues
• Promptly report any issues to line managers
• Ensure production targets are met on time

Requirements:

• Previous experience in operating and setting extrusion machinery, within the plastics industry
• Strong knowledge of PVC processing and extrusion techniques
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow technical instructions
