Site Engineering Manager

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading food manufacturer based in Barnsley to recruit a Site Engineering Manager. 

Salary: £55k - £60k

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.00 – 4.00pm

The Engineering Manager will work alongside the senior management team and will provide leadership and management of the Engineering Department whilst supporting and developing a positive, high-performing, well trained engineering team.

Duties of the Engineering Manager will include:

• Coach, mentor and develop a team of engineers 
• Prepare, monitor and control an annual business plan and budget for the department
• Minimising downtime and leading the engineering team to investigate root cause analysis
• Champion the adoption of best practices, including supporting, encouraging and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement

We are looking to speak with Engineering Managers with the following: 

• HNC or above in Engineering.
• Apprentice trained
• Experience working as an Engineering Manager within a fast-food manufacturing environment
• Strong people management experience 
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings
