A fantastic opportunity as arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a leading national manufacturing business
You will need to provide leadership, and take ownership of the development of a safe, effective working environment for all employees and visitors to the site.
The Health & Safety Manager will develop and implement throughout the business health, safety best practices and procedures. You will ensure that the business complies with all health and safety legislation, approved codes of practice and guidance relating to other areas and as occupational health and safety management.
You will work closely with team to ensure a programme of continual improvements is established and maintained throughout the business with regards to health and safety.
Duties - Health & Safety Manager
- Implement and maintain the company Health and Safety Policy within the manufacturing facility as per the company handbook
- Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Management system at all times
- Monitor, Evaluate and review the Company Health and Safety Policy and practice, ensure that this is implemented across the business
- Carry out various levels of audits and risk assessments
- Ensure policy compliance and that recommendations are implemented within agreed timescales
- Carry out accident investigations and incident reports to relevant bodies
- Monitor and review new and upcoming health and safety legislations
- Ensure that the business has systems in place
- Ensure safe plant and machinery movement
- Responsible for emergency procedures (safety signs/first aid/protective clothing)
- Develop the Health and Safety Management system in accordance with OHSAS 18001 standard
Health & Safety Competencies:
- IOSH (Or equivalent)
- NEBOSH
- Technical Experience
 - Attention to detail
The ideal Health & Safety Manager will have previous experience working within a fast paced manufacturing facility.
