Location: (Hybrid Role) Barnsley based with some travel in the UK to customer sites
Hours of work: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Role Responsibilities:
- To plan, co-ordinate, manage and oversee the design stages and technical development of new and existing projects from initial inception through to final handover. Projects will be of multiple disciplines including M&E, fabric and specialist elements.
- Development of accurate & comprehensive design drawing packages from initial design through to As Fitted drawings.
- Review 3rd party design and cost submissions for accuracy and adherence to client specification.
- Responsible for the development and production of LV AC electrical design solutions through electronic software packages.
- Produce detailed electrical design information in both written and drawing formats.
- Organising and working with professionals/contractors in the development of new designs and or changes to existing projects.
- Be the lead for pre-construction activities, including conducting site surveys and the detailed Compilation of schedule of requirements documentation that have a direct link to the commercial team in the production of costs to the client.
- Outsourcing design activities where required to specialists, consultants and sub-contractors.
- Take the leading role in the compilation and development of tender submissions to the client.
The successful candidate:
- Have in depth knowledge and understanding of commercial & industrial electrical systems.
- Organisational, analytical and communication skills
- Experience in CDM Projects in construction and building services
- Experience in complexed and technically challenging environments
- Previous management capacity in a multi skilled work environment.
- Electrical biased with formal qualifications to C&G or HNC/HND standards.
- AutoCad and drawing package software experience
- BS7671 18th Edition Wiring regulations
- C&G Design, Erection and Verification (2396)
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with commercial awareness
- CSCS card holder
The role may require UK wide travel and overnight stays, driving licence is essential
