Elevation Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading manufacturer in Barnsley to recruit a skilled Finishing Operative to join their team.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join their rapidly expanding team, as a finisher/production operative.

Duties will include bonding/filling and polishing parts, as well as general workshop duties, demoulding, cutting etc.

Location: BarnsleySalary: £12.50phShift: Days – times tbc

Key Responsibilities of the Finishing Operative:

  • Flatten and polish both by hand and machine
  • Prepare and bond various components
  • Bond and fix of various components
  • Demould parts
  • Maintain moulds to a high standard
  • Cut/prepare core materials
  • Work with technicians to cut materials and make kits

Requirements of the Finishing Operative:

  • Have great attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
  • Be able to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Show great dexterity and co-ordination
  • Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, consistently work with precision and care
  • Show good housekeeping, able to work with cleanliness and follow health and safety guidelines
  • Preferably have good understanding of various hand/power tools
