Overview:

BDM Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker to join a busy, high-performing estate agency in Barnsley. The ideal candidate will offer tailored mortgage and protection advice to clients, working with mortgage values of up to £450k. The average property value is £150k, providing the potential for consistent and high-volume business. This role promises daily fresh leads and the opportunity to serve an existing client base of over 5,000.

Main Duties:

  • Provide expert mortgage and protection advice to new and existing clients from a well-established estate agency branch in Barnsley.
  • Working alongside an existing senior mortgage advisor you will receive new leads daily and offering a remortgage service to the existing client database.
  • Work with a proactive team of introducers, reviewing and advising on clients' existing mortgage and protection policies.
  • Help clients secure mortgage deals of up to £450k, with properties averaging £150k in value in a high-turnover market of over 700 properties sold per month in the Barnsley area.

Key Skills:

  • Fully CeMAP qualified (or equivalent) with proven experience as a Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker.
  • Ability to work independently as the only Mortgage Advisor in the branch while being part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Previous experience in a tied, independent, or banking mortgage environment will be considered, provided you have a strong track record in mortgage sales.
  • CAS accreditation is essential, along with CeMAP, CF6, or MAQ qualifications.
  • Clean credit history with no criminal convictions.
  • A full UK driving licence is required.
