Are you a commercially minded finance leader ready to take full ownership of the finance function in a fast-growing business? We're hiring a Head of Finance / Head of Accounts to join the senior leadership team.

This is a pivotal No.1 finance role, reporting directly to the Managing Director. You'll be responsible for steering financial strategy, managing operations, and partnering with departments across the business to drive performance and support scalable growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Shape and execute financial strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling, providing clear insights to influence business decisions.
  • Operational Finance: Manage day-to-day financial operations including cash flow, AR/AP, payroll, and tax compliance.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to improve margins and drive cost efficiencies.
  • Reporting: Produce accurate and timely management accounts, KPI dashboards, and board reports.
  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with UK regulations and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and improvement.
  • Systems & Processes: Drive improvements in financial systems and processes to support business scalability.
What We're Looking For:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Strong background in senior finance roles.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, financial modelling, and commercial finance.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and advising non-financial stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with systems like Xero, Sage, or Netsuite.
  • Knowledge of inventory and supply chain finance is a strong plus.
