The Recruitment Crowd is seeking multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) for a well-known client in the Barnsley area.
Candidates must have at least 3 months of HGV driving experience and a valid UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement.
Pay rates vary from £16.87 to £21.96 per hour depending on the day and time of the shift, with the ability to choose your own shifts from 1300 until midnight.
The role involves trunking to one depot, performing vehicle inspections, and adhering to traffic laws for safe deliveries.
This is a long-term, ongoing job with additional benefits such as on-site training support and an onsite recruitment team.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Barnsley area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Hours:CHOOSE YOUR OWN SHIFT TIMES FROM 1300 UNTIL MIDNIGHT

Pay Rates:

(AFTERS):Monday to Thursday £16.87, Friday £17.60, Saturday £18.29 & Sunday £18.61 PAYE
(NIGHTS): Monday to Thursday £17.59, Friday £18.10, Saturday £20.69 & Sunday £21.96 PAYE

Location:Barnsley, S74.

Job Type: Long-term, ongoing.

The role:

Trunking to one depot, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels.
Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

At least 3 months' HGV driving experience.
Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
Successful completion of practical / theory assessment.
Full understanding of WTD legislation.
