Job Title: Caretaker/HandymanSalary: £22,119Starting ASAP - Temporary OngoingHours: 36 per week - Morning or Afternoon Shift - or alternate 12 hour daysElevation Recruitment are delighted to be exclusively working with an education provider based in Barnsley.Due to an internal move, they are looking for 2 x caretakers to join the team, starting ASAP.
Main Duties will include:
Maintenance, cleaning and security of all college assetsSecurity PatrolsTesting/Operating the fire alarmCarrying out routine maintenance tasks - basic joinery, painting, basic plumbing etcAssist with refurbishment projectsMeasuring up for new projects and ordering materialsAssist with cleaning the classrooms after teaching days are completeSupporting with on site deliveriesAssisting with the operation and maintenance of the plant and heating systemsBasic Electrical - changing light bulbs, testing for faults etcGritting Paths during winter monthsPorter Duties where requiredThis is a great opportunity for an individual to make a role there own. Ideally you will have previous experience of working within a similar role and have basic knowledge on handyman duties.The role will require someone to be able to drive to get around site and also if required to go off site for anything.
