Salary: £94 to £115 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

If so, GSL Education are seeking Teaching Assistants to work within secondary schools across Barnsley, assisting students in Years 7 to 11. Role Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will support teachers in delivering lessons, assist students with their learning, and create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will work with individuals and small groups, helping them to overcome learning barriers and build confidence in their abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in delivering structured and engaging lessons.
• Provide tailored support to students who require additional help.
• Work with small groups or individuals to reinforce key learning concepts.
• Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and those facing challenges.
• Help maintain a positive classroom environment and encourage student engagement.
• Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and areas for development.

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working with young people in an educational or mentoring role.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A passion for education and a desire to positively impact students’ lives.
• A relevant qualification in education or child development is advantageous but not essential.
