A Yorkshire-based business that develops and supplies software and hardware solutions to local authorities and waste management operators in the UK is looking for a Technical Support and Documentation Officer to join the team. Along with a salary of up to £30,000 per annum, you will also receive hybrid working opportunities, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a pension scheme, retail discounts, a healthcare plan, death in service, a cycle to work scheme and an EV salary sacrifice scheme. They are looking for someone to support their development, helpdesk and project teams in some of the technical aspects. This includes testing processes, creating accompanying documentation and reviewing issues. What you’ll be doing as Technical Support and Documentation Officer:
  • Writing or reviewing testing documentation
  • Carrying out testing and documenting results
  • Liaising with developers on issues found
  • Creating customer friendly documentation and process diagrams
  • Providing 3rd line support on helpdesk cases
The ideal Technical Support and Documentation Officer:You will be able to work independently and have excellent communication skills. You will need a logical, careful and consistent approach, with an eye for detail. Full training will be provided and will include shadowing other members of the team. Skills and experience:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work under own initiative and pressure
  • Previous testing or project office experience will be an advantage
  • This role may be suitable for flexible working hours.
