Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading manufacturing business who are looking for a Maintenance Team Leader for their facility near Barnsley.

Salary - £54-55k

Working hours –

Week 1: Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat/Sun

Week 2: Weds/Thurs

Rotating Days/Nights

5.30am to 5.30pm

5.30pm to 5.30am

Reporting to the Engineering Manager the Maintenance Team Leader will be responsible for effectively leading a team of Maintenance Engineers whilst undertaking preventative and reactive maintenance duties.

Duties of the Maintenance Team Leader will include:

  • To effectively carry out engineering works on planned preventive maintenance duties on services, machines and all associated equipment and apparatus and installation as directed.
  • To effectively carry out remedial engineering defects on services, machines and all associated equipment and apparatus and installation as directed, which may affect their safe and efficient operation, resulting in production downtime.
  • To complete necessary engineering reports, with accurate interpretation of work completed through the shift report system, identifying any follow up tasks to be undertaken.
  • To ensure that all works undertaken are carried out correctly, thereby ensuring that services, equipment, machinery, apparatus and other installations are in a safe operable condition at all times.

We would like to speak with Maintenance Team Leaders with the following:

  • Apprentice Trained with a minimum Level 3 in an Engineering Discipline
  • Nationally recognised Electrical qualification
  • Multi-skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)
  • Experience of PPM applications
  • Relevant and demonstrable experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment would be advantageous
  • Lean manufacturing techniques would be desirable
  • Flexibility is essential
