Job Title: Legal Secretary - ConveyancingSalary: £23,000 - £26,000Location: BarnsleyKey Responsibilities:Prioritize and transcribe legal correspondence and documents based on digitally dictated material Process and reformat documents from both typed and handwritten formats, ensuring they adhere to the firm's house style. Answer and manage both internal and external phone calls, take appropriate actions, relay messages, and direct calls as necessary. Provide professional and friendly client support, both in person and over the phone, ensuring the firm's high standards of client care are maintained. Prepare outgoing mail, perform daily filing tasks, and handle general administrative duties such as photocopying, emailing, and faxing. Address routine client account inquiries. Manage the opening, closing, storage, and retrieval of client files in accordance with firm protocols. Coordinate and schedule client appointments, business meetings, conferences, and manage the fee earner's calendar. Organize and manage large volumes of documents effectively. Communicate regularly with the fee earner or designated responsible individual. Collaborate as part of a team, assisting and supporting other secretaries in the department. Perform department-specific tests as required. Follow up on leads, engage with clients, and schedule appointments. Complete department-specific forms accurately and promptly.Desirable Skills and Experience:Strong attention to detail and a proactive, self-starting attitude. ???????Previous experience working in a solicitors' practice in a similar capacity. Fast and accurate typing skills, with a minimum speed of 65 words per minute. Ability to input information quickly and accurately.
