Due to increasing demand, Our Client is looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join their team at the Barnsley plant as a Mechanical Fitter.
What you can expect:
- Carry out reactive mechanical maintenance and Pre Planned Maintenance on all machinery by diagnosing breakdown problems.
- Working with specialist manufacturing equipment, including modern programmable logic-controlled machinery
- Working with Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
- Occasional welding and fabrication
- Control maintenance spares, tools, stock, and equipment using the booking out system.
What we need from you:
- NVQ level 3 in engineering approved apprenticeship
- Experience in similar mechanical maintenance role
- Good team worker capable of working alone.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Health and safety aware.
What we can offer you:
- Basic salary and shift premium approx. £40,000 OTE £48,000
- Working 12-hour shifts, 4 on 4 off in the pattern - days/nights
- Enhanced basic pay and shift rates for working Saturdays (x1.5) Sundays (x2) Public holidays (x2)
- 24 days holidays per year including statutory holidays.
- Overtime regularly available at enhanced rates
- Production bonus paid weekly subject to production targets being met.
