Technical Support Engineer - South Yorkshire - up to 33,000 + Benefits - Ref 1864

I am currently recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer to work for a leading engineering organisation based in South Yorkshire. Salary up to 33,000 + Benefits.

The organisation is a market leading engineering organisation that delivers a very well developed product portfolio to the UK water utilities market. They have an extensive track record of delivering high quality products and providing solutions for a wide range of problems, both complex and simple. With a wealth of experienced individuals, they can define and deliver the perfect solution.

To cope with the current workload and in line with their expansion plans they the need to recruit for a Technical Support Engineer on a permanent basis.

In this role as Technical Support Engineer, you will liaise with customers to address any concerns or issues that may arise. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting problems over the phone and guiding customers through the necessary steps in hope of finding a resolution. There will be an element of out the box thinking, but you will also have access to a crib sheet which will help aid with the problem solving investigations. If the issue cannot be resolved remotely, you will coordinate with the site services team, providing them with diagnostic details to facilitate an on site resolution. Once an appointment has been arranged, you will communicate this with the customer and act as the link and ultimately the point of contact until the issue is resolved.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience as a Technical Support Engineer or similar
  • Technical knowledge of Mechanical components (ideally Pumps and Valves)

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in the Water sector
