People Solutions are recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Home Delivery Driver for our well-established client based in Barnsley.

Day to Day duties
Working as a 7.5 Tonne Home Delivery Driver your duties will include:
- Working as part of a two-person team
- Driving 7.5 tonne vehicles safely and efficiently
- Ensuring all loads are safe and secure
- Conducting pre and post vehicle inspections
- Completing any paperwork
- Transporting homeware goods
- Making timely deliveries to customer's houses
- Lifting and carrying
- Abiding by driving rules and regulations
- Following company policies and procedures
- Being prepared to go the extra mile
- Providing excellent customer service
Essential Skills
As a 7.5 Tonne Driver you will need to:
- Have held a valid UK Category C1 Driving Licence for a minimum of three months
- Hold a valid UK CPC card and Digi Card
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
- No major endorsement codes
- Excellent communication skills
- Good customer service skills
- Must pass a driving assessment
- Must undergo a drug and alcohol test
Desirable experience
- Experience working as part of a two-person team conducting home deliveries is desirable but not essential
Training
- On the job training will be provided
- Regular drug and alcohol tests will be required
