Your new company Hays Healthcare are actively recruiting a Clinical Pharmacist Band 7 to work in Barnsley. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines, providing advice on the dosage of medicines and the most appropriate form of medication, and delivering a high standard of pharmaceutical service to all healthcare professionals and patients. Your new role and responsibilities

  • Taking drug histories on admission and informing medical staff of any discrepancies with medication prescribed to ensure continuity of treatment.
  • Review medication to ensure safe and effective use.
  • Annotate patients medicined Kardex with details of any allergies and specific instructions relating to admission of medicines to ensure safe and effective therapy.
  • Formulate pharmaceutical care plans and implement appropriate monitoring of therapy to ensure safe and effective therapy.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent as deemed by the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Professional Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Drivers License
  • Punctual & reliability to work all shifts booked
  • Good sickness record
  • ASAP Start
