The Assistant Buyer will provide essential support to the Senior Buyer by managing orders, forecasts, and supplier relations.
This role is with a rapidly growing retailer aiming to increase its market share in the next 12 months.
Candidates should have experience as a buying assistant or in a similar role, along with strong Excel and communication skills.

A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience is required for this role.

You will provide essential support to the Senior Buyer by taking responsibility for orders, forecasts, some cost negotiation, and supplier management.

Description

Raise purchase orders.
Running seasonal order status reports to maintain delivery schedules.
Checking that Shipment documentation is revived on time and actioned.
Communication with UK and overseas suppliers
Competitor analysis and benchmarking
Keep track of shipments and monitor stock levels
Cost Negotiation with new and existing suppliers

Profile

Currently working as a buying assistant, Assistant Buyer or similar
Experience working with a supply base
Strong excel skills
Excellent communication skills
