The Role

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure optimal cost, quality, and service. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will have a direct influence on the success of the business by ensuring the availability of key products and aligning procurement strategies with commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to meet business needs.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers, ensuring favourable outcomes for the business.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality and on-time delivery.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify new sourcing opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales and operations teams, to forecast demand and ensure stock availability.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues proactively.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will be a results-driven individual with a passion for delivering value. We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in a Buyer role, ideally within the retail or FMCG sector.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a track record of securing favourable terms.
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to align procurement activities with business goals.
  • Analytical skills to assess supplier performance and market trends.
  • Knowledge of procurement software and systems is a plus.
