Main duties of the job

  • Ensure full awareness and competency in all areas of MRI safety, adhering to MHRA guidance.
  • Accurately position patients within the MRI scanner, ensuring correct placement of imaging coils and patient cooperation.
  • Perform MRI examinations in line with departmental protocols, minimizing exposure risks for MRI referrals.
  • Execute a comprehensive range of complex radiographic procedures independently.
  • Manage patients' conditions during examinations, including those with severe trauma or distress.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

  • Current relevant professional registration (HCPC Registration)
  • Previous experience in MRI radiography.
  • Strong understanding of MRI safety and patient care protocols.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in complex situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with vulnerable patients.
