We are currently seeking Unqualified Teachers in Secondary Schools around the Barnsley area who are either looking to gain classroom experience across a variety of secondary schools before embarking on their teacher training, or have previous experience of working with groups of children or young people and looking for a new challenge.

You will be required to build positive relationships with pupils, and devise strategies to overcome barriers to learning, and help them to get the most out of their time in education.

The role:

As an unqualified teacher, you will be required to support across a range of secondary subjects, providing cover for absent teachers. You will be responsible for keeping students on task and ensuring they complete the work left by the subject teacher.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to build robust, supportive relationships with students of diverse needs
