We're seeking an enthusiastic Cover Teacher to join our secondary team in Barnsley. This full-time position is available for an immediate start, offering the opportunity to work across different subject areas, providing seamless support to departments in need of cover.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in relevant subjects.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a proactive approach to engaging with students.
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of subject areas and year groups with ease.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects in the absence of permanent teachers.
  • Ensure a positive and conducive learning environment for students, maintaining effective behaviour management in the classroom.
  • Engage and motivate students with diverse abilities, adapting to the classroom dynamics and student's needs.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment, following school policies and procedures at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress to relevant teaching staff.
