The Role: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. The successful candidate will work across two of our schools in Barnsley, providing essential support to our students and staff. This role involves covering PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) time, leadership time, and ECT (Early Career Teacher) time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons.
- Cover classes during PPA, leadership, and ECT time.
- Support the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Engage with parents and carers to support student progress.
Requirements:
- Strong experience working with students with SEN.
- Ideally, hold a HLTA qualification or have substantial experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
