Transport Planner

Transport Planner – Barnsley - £27,000 - £30,000

Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be working exclusively with a major wholesaler based in Barnsley who are looking for a Transport Planner to join their team.

Our client is looking for a highly pro-active individual with a keen eye for detail to minimise all import and export down time and increase the efficiency in which deliveries can take place. You will be required to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and assist in any wider administration roles and responsibilities. The role will require strong communication skills and proficiency when using IT, especially Microsoft Excel.

Transport Planner Duties:

• Ensuring import and exports are done on time and in full
• Being a point of contact for customers and suppliers within the business and feeding back information to the relevant internal stakeholders
• Maintenance of systems and data within the company’s IT system
• Supporting the Stores manager with any additional administrative requirements

Hours: Full time Monday – Friday

Required skills & experience:

• Experience working within a relevant inbound/outbound setting
• Strong computer proficiency especially in Microsoft Excel
• Pro-active with a keen eye for detail and a can-do attitude
• Be able to work to tight deadlines and be able to appropriately organise workload
