Rate: £40In Barnsley we are committed to getting the right support for children and young people. Whilst this means that we are able to support young people to remain within their families when it is safe to do so, there are still occasions that we need to accommodate children outside of their network.This is a key point in a child’s journey, and we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic practitioner to lead on a specific area of service development, ensuring that when children are accommodated into or move within the care of the local authority that this process is as robust and seamless as possible for children.You will be creative, restorative and child focussed, ensuring that practice and processes are based around the needs of a young person. An evidence based practitioner, you will demonstrate positive outcomes for children within a specific time frame. Adopting a 'hands on’ approach, you will be committed to supporting the learning and development of others. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to use these imaginatively.You will - Work closely alongside children’s social work services and commissioning to produce pen pictures and placement referrals of the highest quality, reflecting individual strengths, needs and voice of the childLead on the development of best practice, guidance and principles when supporting children and young people in the care, and coming into the care of the local authority.Contribute to the development and review of individual packages of support to children and their carers
