Social Work Advanced Practitioner | Non Case Holding | Safeguarding/Disabilities

Barnsley Children’s Services are seeking an advanced Social Work practitioner with a strong children with disabilities and safeguarding background.

Experience of supervising others is desirable. This will be a non-case holding role, whereby you will support the Designated Social Care Officer with rolling out training, co-productions with parents/carers, children & young people, the development of Social Care/SEND services and the new Barnsley short breaks team.

This role is initially for a 6 month period.0009 7B76 / 1

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
  • Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
  • Possess knowledge of service needs.
  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
