We are currently looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to take on the role of Lunchtime Supervisor at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Barnsley. This role is ideal for those who have a genuine passion for working with children with special needs and who have previous experience in a similar setting.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Supervise students during lunchtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist with feeding and other personal care tasks as needed.
  • Encourage positive social interactions and support students in developing their social skills.
  • Manage any challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working as a Lunchtime Supervisor or in a similar role.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • A valid DBS check on the update service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
