Role Overview: We are seeking compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support our students with a range of needs, including complex needs, Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), and challenging behaviour. You will play a crucial role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, helping each student achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver holistic support.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Support students with personal care tasks, where necessary.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team and parents.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN students, particularly those with complex needs, PMLD, or challenging behaviour.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable but not essential).
