The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our market leading client based in the Barnsley area. We are looking for experienced Class 2 Tipper Drivers / yard support to join the team.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00am until 14:00pm (unless required to work away).
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour PAYE.
Location: Barnsley, S75.
Job Type: Long term, ongoing.
The Role
- Carry out various roles in the yard as per operational needs.
- Operate a Class 2 tipper vehicle safely and efficiently, transporting aggregate, topsoil etc.
- Potential to be trained on sweeper vehicles.
- Work away in absence of permanent staff to cover sickness / absence.
- Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections.
- Ensure timely and efficient completion of assigned routes when on the road.
- Will be required to work away from home, with accommodation provided in a paid hotel.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Have a minimum of 1 years experience, preferably driving the relevant vehicle.
- Have a full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Be prepared to work away from home in paid accommodation as required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
