Ideal candidates will have MRICS status or a relevant qualification in Real Estate, with experience in Local Authority or public sector environments. The role involves supporting our Estates team across three key areas: acquisitions and disposals, commercial property management, and valuation.Day to Day of the role:-          Assist in delivering the Council’s 5-year disposal programme of surplus assets.-          Prepare sites for sale, including feasibility studies, development planning, and valuation appraisals.-          Handle marketing, negotiation, and finalising contract terms/agreements through to completion.-          Support property acquisitions for highway schemes and regeneration projects, requiring strong negotiation skills.-          Manage a diverse commercial property portfolio, including retail, industrial estates, and community properties.-          Liaise with tenants and landlords, resolving enquiries and disputes.-          Handle debt management and tenant requests for alterations and assignments.-          Conduct new lettings and lease renewals, including rent valuation and service charge management.-          Review and provide strategic recommendations for the management of the Council’s industrial estates.-          Perform residential valuations for Right to Buy schemes and asset valuations for financial accounting.-          Receive training and support as required to ensure accurate and compliant valuation processes.Required Skills & Qualifications:-          Relevant qualification in Real Estate and/or MRICS status.-          Experience in Local Authority or public sector is highly desirable.-          Aptitude to work independently and lead on allocated workload with supervision.-          Strong communication and negotiation skills.-          Experience in one or all of the following areas: acquisitions and disposals, commercial property management, valuation.
