Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician to join our clients team in Barnsley. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) are maintained to the highest standards, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our products across the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a range of HGVs.
- Diagnose and rectify all types of faults.
- Conduct safety inspections and MOT preparations.
- Ensure all vehicles comply with current legislation.
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out.
- Collaborate with the transport team to ensure minimal vehicle downtime.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician.
- Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent).
- Strong diagnostic skills and ability to work with modern diagnostic equipment.
- Comprehensive understanding of HGV systems and components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving license (HGV license is advantageous).
