Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working in partnership with an Fabrication business based in Barnsley.They currently have a rare opportunity for a Fabricator/Welder to join their existing team.PAY:£15.00 - £18.00phHOURS:Current hours of work are Monday – Thursday 6am -4.30pm, Friday 6am - 2.30pmOvertime Available RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct weld inspection operations to customer drawings
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings to fabricate components to exact specifications

  • Cutting, drilling, and shaping steel using hand tools, flame cutters, saws, and CNC machines

  • Welding structural and architectural components using MIG/TIG techniques to a high standard

  • Assembling steel structures including staircases, balustrades, railings, frames, and support beams

  • Carrying out quality checks to ensure all work meets required tolerances and industry standards

  • Operating fabrication machinery and welding equipment safely and efficiently

  • Finishing work including grinding, dressing, and polishing welds where necessary

  • Following health and safety procedures at all times within workshop and site environments

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • NVQ/qualification in Engineering discipline - Desirable
  • Proven track record in welding - Essential
  • Fabrication experience - Essential
  • Must have experience with structural steel / architectural steel work
  • MIG welding
