We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Client's dynamic engineering maintenance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of our manufacturing equipment and machinery. You will be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across a variety of mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.

Shifts
Week 1 - 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday
Week 2 - 6am - 4pm Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday

Role and Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and fault-finding tasks on mechanical, electrical, and automated machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise production downtime.
  • Ensure all equipment and systems comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including service reports and inventory of spare parts.
  • Ensure effective communication with team members, supervisors, and contractors when necessary.
  • Participate in installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery as required.

Person Specification of a a Maintenance Technician

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.
  • Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated machinery.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Flexibility regarding shift work.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
