Fantastic opportunity to join a long-established, successful, regional multi-office law firm in Devon as a Residential Conveyancer. As a Residential Conveyancer, you will join a successful team of approximately 15 other team members. You will collaborate with a thriving department that works closely across their offices, meeting regularly and supporting each other in a constantly growing industry. The client is also CQS and Lexcel accredited.

You will have full exposure to all the usual elements of residential conveyancing transactions, handling sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold land.

Overview:

  • Provide competent legal advice on all areas of property law.
  • Prepare and review legal documents such as contracts and leases.
  • Conduct property searches and due diligence to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other professionals involved in the transaction process.
  • Update clients about the progress of their cases and provide timely updates.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the transaction process.
  • Stay updated on changes in property law and regulations to provide informed advice.

The successful candidate:

  • You will ideally have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a Residential Conveyancer in a fee-earning capacity within a busy environment.
  • You will either be a qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive, or qualified by experience having managed your own caseload previously.
  • A commercially-minded individual with experience working on a range of residential transactions and able (or open to learning and developing your skills) to undertake more complex conveyancing processes.
  • You will have a positive approach to client care and compliance and be someone who enjoys working in a team and building positive relationships with those around you.
  • You will ideally have experience using SOS Connect or a similar case management system or be open to learning new tech or IT programmes.
