Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a Year 6 class in Barnstaple. The successful candidate will provide valuable support to our students, helping to create a positive and engaginglearning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to Year 6 students.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, helping them with their learning and development.
  • Support students with their academic work, including reading, writing, and maths.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Participate in school activities and events as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
