Copello are looking for an Electronic Engineer to join an engineering consultancy on a 6 month contract to work on a defence clients site in South West.

The Electronics Engineer will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Take responsibility for the Electrical and Electronic Engineering delivery of a variety of Electro-mechanical Systems working to agreed cost, time and quality.
  • Provide technical leadership to a small multi-disciplinary team of Engineers on specific projects
  • Seek and share good practice and knowledge locally to continuously improve own practices
  • Support and facilitate reviews and approvals of electrical & electronic designs in accordance with business and industry standards
  • Provide input to Company standards pertaining to Electrical and Electronic Engineering including calculations, CAD models, manufacturing drawings & schematics and technical reports
  • Support products through manufacturing, assembly, installation and service life

The successful Electronics Engineer will require the following skills:

  • Lead the design and develop Analogue and Digital Electronic Circuits
  • Experience of PCB design from Schematic capture to PCB layout using Altium
  • Experience in the design and manufacture of Electro-mechanical Systems
  • Ability to follow a methodical/systematic approach to analyse and solve problems, identifying key facts and breaking down complex information to components parts
  • Full lifecycle experience from requirements decomposition to acceptance and user sign off on multi-disciplinary programmes
  • Experience of requirements capture, analysis, V&V and configuration management
  • Able to produce clear and concise technical documentation
  • Demonstrable ability to plan and execute technical assignments
  • Experience of development within the Product lifecycle
  • Extensive experience in digital or analogue electronics design within a structured development environment.

The role will require the Electronics Engineer to be based on client site 3 days a week.

Due to nature of the project the successful candidate will have valid SC clearance (or Eligible of SC) as well as be sole British National.

Role is offering 60 -70 per hour (inside IR35).
