Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Devon. This role offers hybrid, working from home one day per week.

Job Purpose
  • Partner with managers to ensure that staff are treated in an equitable and consistent manner.
  • Lead and resolve people matters in a timely manner, supporting all aspects of any process and deliver excellent people management practices.
  • To oversee and coordinate data management, reporting on metrics, systems, and employee benefits, while also managing and supervising the administrative support functions.
Main Duties
  • Work with managers to develop strategies that assist with staff retention.
  • Support with strategies to promote employment opportunities, identifying succession planning and developing talent pools.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for CLT and Governors, identifying trends, actions, and outcomes.
  • Assess systems to ensure they effectively support the HR team, managers, and employees.
  • Compile and analyze exit interview data, pinpointing trends and actions to enhance staff retention efforts.
  • Provide accurate, valued, and timely employment relations advice regarding people matters.
  • Establish and maintain valued and respected relationships across all areas to include staff, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Develop and deliver timely training programmes on people practices including wellbeing and mental health.
  • Help identify areas for support to help them develop strategies for their managers and teams.
  • Advise and guide on employment relation issues, investigations, hearing and appeals alongside the Head of People Services.
  • Support any internal processes that ensure a delivery of the best learning experience.
Requirements
  • CIPD L5 or equivalent
  • Relevant HR experience
  • Five GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • Level 2 qualification in Mathematics and English
  • Numeracy & Literacy qualifications to Level 2
  • Excellent IT skills using the MS Office package, particularly Excel and Word.
