Role: Production Planner

Location: Barnstaple

Contract: Temporary (4 to 6 months to be reviewed)

Acorn by Synergie are recruiting for a Production Planner on a temporary basis for a company based in Barnstaple.

Working hours will be Monday to Thursday 8am - 4:30pm and Friday 8am - 2pm

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer orders and inventory levels, ensuring optimal use of resources.
  • Analyse production capacities and constraints to forecast production needs, adjusting schedules as necessary to meet demand.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on production goals and timelines.
  • Address production issues promptly, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to minimize disruptions.

Requirements

  • An understanding of supply chain planning and capacity management processes.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and knowledge of principles of inventory optimisation / Kanban / PFEP.
  • Motivated and customer focused, with excellent communication skills.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office, specifically excel.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
