A Security Guard with a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence is needed to join a dynamic team at a prominent shopping centre in Barnstaple. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in a secure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of entrances, mall interiors, streets, car parks, and other site areas.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety by performing routine checks.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and anti-social behaviour, liaising with emergency services where necessary.
- Monitor and operate CCTV systems, including reviewing and downloading footage.
- Ensure the security of doors, gates, and restricted areas to maintain a safe environment.
- Provide support to tenants and visitors, addressing concerns professionally and courteously.
- Log and manage lost property, visitor records, and contractor permits.
- Test and manage fire alarm systems, ensuring readiness for emergencies.
Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (CCTV Licence preferred but not essential; training provided post-probation).
- At least one year of relevant experience in a security role.
- Basic IT competency and report-writing skills.
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in English.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety practices, COSHH, and Fire Marshall duties.
- First Aid certification (preferred).
- Observant, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality.
