Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse to provide specialized care for newborns in the Barnstaple Neonatal Unit (NNU). You will work with premature and critically ill infants, offering expert care and support to both babies and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care for premature and critically ill neonates.
  • Administer medications and nutritional support.
  • Monitor vital signs and respond to clinical changes.
  • Educate and support families during their neonatal journey.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

  • Active NMC registration.
  • Proven neonatal nursing experience.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends.

Desirable Skills:

  • Neonatal Life Support (NLS) certification.
  • Experience with developmental care techniques.
