Senior Surveyor (Interim) - Housing Association, Devon

Location: Barnstaple, DevonContract: 3-Month Interim ContractDaily Rate: Negotiable

We are seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to join a Housing Association in Devon on a 3-month contract, based in Barnstaple. This role will cover a critical period of change within the department, and we need a strong, hands-on leader to provide guidance and direction to the existing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support a team of surveyors focusing on damp and mould issues, disrepairs, repairs, and maintenance surveying.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure the team delivers high-quality services, meets targets, and responds to tenant needs effectively.
  • Ensure all surveyors are well-supported and have the tools and guidance to adapt to new processes during this transition period.
  • Maintain a strong focus on delivering excellent service to tenants and addressing urgent property-related concerns.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure the smooth running of repair and maintenance operations.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in surveying within the housing sector, with expertise in repairs, maintenance, damp, and disrepair issues.
  • Strong team management and leadership skills, with the ability to support and guide a team through change.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, ensuring effective service delivery and tenant satisfaction.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines during this interim period.
  • Ideally based in or near Barnstaple, Devon, with availability to start immediately.
